Activities
At our school, we believe in the all-round development of our students. While academic excellence is important, we also emphasize the development of essential life skills, character building, and fostering creativity and critical thinking. We provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students for success in all aspects of life.
Daily Devotion
One of the unique aspects of our school is the daily devotional and motivational activity conducted before classes begin. This helps set a positive tone for the day, instilling a sense of purpose, motivation, and focus in our students.
Educational Tours
The school conducts educational tour time to time for the students to gain first-hand exposure to different cultures, historical sites, and natural landscapes. It helps to broaden their understanding of the world and encourage them to think more critically about the world around them. Students have visited various historical sites, museums, lakes in and around Manipur. They also get to tour different factories and see the process of how products are made.
Art & Culture
The school realizes that art has been shown to have positive effects on students' self-esteem, creativity, communication skills, and group dynamics. We conduct activities such as dance, music, singing, literary, martial arts, aerobics and co-curricular competition. The school also has its own choir who perform not only on-campus but also at various events in the town.
Environment
At Douglas school, we try to instill awareness and understanding of the environment, its natural resources, and the need for sustainable practices. By integrating environmental education into the school curriculum, we try help to prepare future generations to become responsible citizens who value and protect the natural environment. We facilitate various gardening activities; plantation drives and environment awareness events.
Annual Events
​Events are conducted in various disciplines annually, focusing on the all-round development of our students. Apart from celebrating national events such as Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day, etc. we have our Annual Day, Annual Sports (Physical sports) and Expressions (our Annual Art, Culture and Literature Festival). During Expressions, students come in their traditional attires, showcase their culture and customs, and talent. Competition such as debate, quiz, dance, singing, dramas, elocution, essays etc are conducted, giving the students opportunities to showcase their varied talents.
